FAQs about Health Related Issues in Mexico and Jamaica

This section of our Help Center deals with questions regarding health-related issues during your vacations in Mexico or Jamaica. Find out about topics such as medical services, recommended vaccines, allergy care at our restaurants, and more.

We don't currently have options specifically aimed at guests with hearing and vision impairments.

Please provide Public Relations with details of any allergies you may have as soon as you arrive. They will advise our culinary teams and will provide you with further instructions.

You can find a variety of gluten-free options at the restaurants throughout our all-inclusive resorts. These options are designated with a special symbol in our menus. If you have a gluten allergy, please let our public relations desk know and they will provide you with further instructions.

A medical service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at an additional cost.

Our resort accommodates physically challenged guests with handicap rooms and wheelchair accessible facilities such as pools, restaurants, grounds, nightclubs and bars.

All of our resorts are smoke free, including pool areas. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

Vaccinations are generally not required for entry into Mexico, however a yellow fever certificate is required when arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission. We recommend keeping your vaccinations up to date for prevention and health purposes and consulting health recommendations on your government's website.

Health insurance is not compulsory in order to visit Mexico, however it is always advisable to take out health cover before traveling to any destination.

Food and beverages are prepared with the most stringent protocols at our resorts, using the freshest, highest quality ingredients. We recommend trying everything and drinking bottled water and drinks prepared by our staff.

Hospitals in Mexico offer emergency departments and consultation rooms with general doctors and specialists. There are also clinics for consultations and surgeries.

Our resorts offer a medical service. If your need to see a specialist or require hospitalization, please let a member staff know in order to channel your request quickly.

Our resorts are fumigated against insects, however in order to prevent mosquito bites when you are outside we recommend applying mosquito repellent.

Before traveling we recommend checking that your medication is not included in the WHO list of prohibited substances, and if it is, a certificate or required use will be required. For further information please consult the Mexican embassy in your country. If you have a serious medical condition which requires special medication, please let us know when checking in, in order to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible.
