You should drink bottled or purified water in most parts of Mexico. All Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resorts properties provide unlimited bottled water throughout the properties. 

Moon Palace Jamaica provides unlimited bottled water throughout the resort. 

Guests at the majority of our all-inclusive resorts have direct access to our beaches.

Entrance fees and taxes associated with tourist attractions may vary. They are generally included when you choose to book a tour from any of our luxury resorts.

Guests staying at Moon Palace Cancun, Beach Palace, Sun Palace (couples-only), Playacar Palace, Cozumel Palace, or Isla Mujeres Palace (couples-only) have the added benefit of complimentary access to all-inclusive facilities at these six sister resorts. The weather in Mexico (particularly in the Mexican Caribbean and Los Cabos) is generally hot for most of the year. Therefore, any time of year is ideal for a visit. There are also many different opportunities for visitors to experience Mexican culture throughout the year.

Plug sockets in Mexico are compatible with plug types A and B, which are generally used throughout most of the American continent. The voltage is usually 127 V at 60 Hz. If you are visiting from South America or Europe, you are likely to need an adapter to use your own devices.

One of the best things about Mexico is the huge variety of dishes you can try. All of our luxury resorts include a extensive variety of gourmet cuisine, with international delights and typical dishes from all over Mexico. We recommend trying everything. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions you may have when checking in and before ordering food.

The time zone in Cancun and the Riviera Maya is GMT-5, remaining the same time as Bogota, Colombia, throughout the year. Clocks do not go back or forward in this time zone.

Tourists visiting Mexico may request a VAT refund on certain products purchased within the country with a minimum value of MXN 1,200.00. Such refund can be requested at a designated module at the international airport, by providing official receipts which include the amount of VAT paid. Guests at our all-inclusive resorts have everything they could possibly need within our resorts, and the tours on offer include transportation. If you require transport for any other reason, taxis are safe and reliable and can be requested at the front desk. Alternatively, you could rent a car on request.

The official language in Mexico is Spanish, however, it is generally possible to communicate in English with staff at our luxury resorts and locals in the main tourist destinations. 

Tips are included at our all-inclusive resorts. As a general rule, tipping 10-15% is common in the Mexican Caribbean, Los Cabos, and other tourist destinations.

It is illegal to consume alcohol on the street in Mexico. 

There is a low crime rate in Mexican tourist destinations, although you should take the same precautions with your belongings as you would take anywhere else. Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resorts properties are extremely safe, with a high-level of security.
