Recreational scuba divers will be amazed by the incredible visibility and extensive variety of flora and fauna found on many of the shallow reefs. Experienced divers will certainly get a thrill out of diving the in the clear abyss at Palancar, Colombia and Santa Rosa
reefs, just to name a few. Divers should look in particular for the black coral, which was considered to be extinct until Jacques Cousteau found it on Palacar. The adventurous would want to take a peek over the wall plunging to 3,000 feet towards the deep blue shadows below.
