Directions to Isla Mujeres Palace Resort from the Cancun Airport
Isla Mujeres is an island off the coast of Cancun. Expect the total travel time from Cancun International Airport to Isla Mujeres Palace to be about an hour and a half. We recommend booking a flight with arrival times from 11 a.m. – 6p.m. as this is the ideal time to commute to the island.
Airport to Puerto Juarez Ferry Terminal
- To get to Isla Mujeres you will first need transportation from the airport to the Ultramar Marine Terminal in Puerto Juarez. We highly recommend making travel arrangements upon making your reservation either with Palace Resorts or with your Travel Agent. To arrange transportation with Palace Resorts, please contact transfercancun@palaceresorts.com. (Estimated travel time: 45-60 minutes)
- There are other ferry operators throughout Cancun that provide service to Isla Mujeres, however the Ultramar service from Puerto Juarez offers the most continuous ferry schedule with minimal wait times.
Ferry Ride to Isla Mujeres
- Take the Ultramar ferry from Puerto Juarez to Isla Mujeres. (Estimated transit time: 20 minutes)
- Ferry Schedule: Pick-up service from Puerto Juarez is every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. then hourly from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The last pick-up to Isla Mujeres is at 11:30 p.m.
Taxi to Isla Mujeres Palace from ferry terminal
- Once you step off the ferry and onto Isla Mujeres, on the left side of the pier you will find the taxi stop. It is 54 pesos for transportation to Isla Mujeres Palace. (Estimated transit time 15 minutes)
- Please make sure to let the driver know that you will be staying at Isla Mujeres PALACE so that the driver knows exactly where to take you.
Getting to Cancun from Isla Mujeres
- Take the Ultramar ferry from Isla Mujeres to Puerto Juarez. (Estimated transit time: 20 minutes)
- Ferry Schedule: Pick-up service from Isla Mujeres is every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., then hourly from 9 p.m. to midnight. The last pick-up to Puerto Juarez is at midnight.
